Pelvic Health Physiotherapy is billed and treated like any other kind of physiotherapy.
Most extended health private insurance policies offer physiotherapy coverage.
If you choose not to access direct billing, your physiotherapy appointment will be billed to you (as physiotherapy), and you can submit this directly to your insurance company. Core Restore offers an email receipt of payment to make your insurance submission easy and seamless.
Questions
Q: Do I need a Doctor’s Referral before my assessment?
A: You do not.
Physiotherapists are self-regulated health care professionals who have at least 6 years of university education and a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy. Physiotherapists are Primary Health Care Providers and can directly assess and treat your condition.
Some private Extended Health Care Insurance companies may require a doctor’s referral; check with your insurance policy to see if you need a doctor’s referral for reimbursement of your physiotherapy treatment.
Q: What if I have a physiotherapy referral for another physiotherapy clinic?
A: You are entitled to seek physiotherapy at any clinic you feel best suits your plan of care. Your physiotherapy referral is for the benefit of your insurance coverage.

OHIP – Funded Physiotherapy Services
Core Restore Physiotherapy has OHIP funding for Physiotherapy.
To qualify for these services patients must be referred by a physician, or nurse practitioner, for an acute (recent) injury or recent change in health and have a valid Ontario Health Card. To be eligible for these services you be within one of the following categories:
Aged 65 years and older;
Aged 19 years and younger;
Recently discharged as an inpatient of a hospital after an overnight stay and require physiotherapy. A physician on the medical staff of the hospital must make the referral in this case; OR
Patient is eligible for funding of services under the ODSP or OW program.

Veteran Affairs Canada
Our Physiotherapists are registered with Blue Cross and Veteran's Affairs as providers for physiotherapy. Supporting our veterans is important to us. We provide direct billing for veterans, and veterans with a K number may be pre-approved for physiotherapy treatments.
