What Is the Best Way to Improve My Health?

Are you looking for something that can reduce your stress and increase your energy? How about enrich your sleep, improve your heart and bone health? The research is in; exercise does all that and more. In fact, just 30 minutes a day of exercise has enough impact that it can dramatically improve your health and increase your longevity.

Light to moderate exercise can benefit almost everyone. Keeping mobile strengthens our muscles, improves balance and increases bone strength. Motion is the lotion our joints need to stay healthy, including joints with osteoarthritis. In fact, one hour of exercise, 3 times per week can decrease pain in persons with knee arthritis by 47%. Physical activity can also decrease osteoporosis, and in postmenopausal women, 4 hours a week of exercise has been found to decrease the risk of hip fracture by 41%. Not enough? It has also been shown to dramatically reduce the risk of diseases such as diabetes and heart disease.

It’s never to late to start exercising. Light to moderate exercise is okay for most people, and walking is one of the best and most functional forms of exercise.
